Why You Need a Wedding Website

February 22, 2021

Happy Monday!

We have a very important question to start off today’s blog:

Do you have a Wedding Website?

More and more couples are opting to create and launch their own personalized wedding website, especially in this day and age.

Now, more than ever, it is so important to make sure we keep ourselves and our guests informed and up to date regarding any changes made due to government regulations and protocol and a Wedding Website is the perfect way to do this.

We are recommending that all couples launch a wedding website to keep their guests informed. They are so important and are a simple way to keep all of your information in one place so that your guests know where they can turn to for updates, instead of inundating you with texts and calls to field the same few questions.

Your wedding website should include the following pieces of crucial information:

  1. Your Full Names
  2. Your Wedding Date
  3. Ceremony Time, Location, Address and Map (optional)
  4. Reception Time, Location, Address and Map
  5. Guest Wedding Day Timeline
    • To include just the basics, such as ceremony start and end time, cocktail hour start time, reception start time, etc.
  6. Travel & Accommodation Information
    • This includes details regarding Hotel information for your out of town guests, and guest shuttling information (if applicable).
  7. RSVP information and details
    • We recommend that you integrate this into your wedding website so that your guests can RSVP on the same page to keep all their information together and organized, as well as make collecting and organizing your RSVPS a breeze for you!
    • Be sure to also collect contact information (phone number and email address) for each guest/family, in order to be able to get in touch quickly and easily should you need to inform them of any changes at the last minute
  8. COVID-19 measures in place at your venue to keep your guests safe and comfortable and guest protocol upon their arrival at the venue
    • This includes mask rules, sanitization, guest screening, temperature checks, etc.

Also be sure to include the fun pieces of information, such as:

  • Your Love Story
  • Your Wedding Countdown
  • Your Favorite Photos
    • Photos of your favourite memories, your proposal and bridal party if you desire.

Do you have any additional questions about Wedding Websites? Have we convinced you to launch your own? Feel free to reach out to us on socials to let us know how you feel about it and which platform you’re using or DM us with your specific questions and we would be happy to provide some insight.
